Charnwood

As the oldest British manufacturer of wood burning stoves, run by second and third generations of the family, we are dedicated to providing products of enduring design and of the highest quality.

It all started in 1972, when Alfred Wells and two of his sons, started a small engineering business in Niton on the Isle of Wight. Over the last forty years we have grown from our original small factory of around 1500 sq. ft to our current site of over 50,000sq. Ft.

Chesneys

We believe in the fusion of traditional and modern design and manufacturing techniques. Everything we make; be it our period and contemporary fireplaces, our climate-friendly stoves and outdoor heaters or our post-tensioned staircases, is driven by this principle.

Whether it is our skilled artisans carving marble for a chimneypiece or our in-house Research & Development team testing our latest stoves for eco-design 2022 approval, they are all focussed on the right way to deliver timeless quality, combined with cutting-edge innovation.

Contura

The design and product development of Contura stoves occurs in Sweden, as does the assembly of all stove parts. The stoves are quality controlled before leaving the factory in Markaryd. This gives us full control over the quality in all stages of production. We take care to ensure that the stoves are suitable for the modern home and conditions. We are proud to mark our stoves “Made in Sweden”.

HETA

When you choose a HETA stove, you get Danish design and quality developed through more than 150 years.

HETA is a family-owned business, located in Lemvig near the west coast of Jutland in Denmark. This is where HETAs stoves are developed and manufactured from idea to finished product. Today, HETA is selling stoves to customers in 22 countries.

Stûv

Stûv applies the principles of Design Thinking to all of its activities as a way of approaching design and improvement. According to Stûv, design is a technical, aesthetic and functional solution applied to the product, so that it fully and sustainably responds to the user’s expectations. The simplicity of the end result guarantees its sustainability. Design by design, part of our DNA.

Town and Country Fires

Town and Country Fires is a family run business based in Pickering on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Once farmers, the Thurlow family took the big decision to diversify and as a consequence started the stove business in 1977.

Gaining a wealth of experience over the years and using a combination of old and new techniques has led to the company developing and manufacturing some of the best, energy efficient, solid fuel and wood burning stoves in the world.
